General information
We treat personal data confidentially and in accordance with applicable data protection law. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you. This policy explains what data is processed when you use this website, why it is processed and what rights you have.
Internet communication, including email, can have security gaps. Complete protection against access by third parties is not possible.
Legal bases
Where you have given consent, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for special categories of data, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR. Processing necessary for a contract or pre-contractual steps is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Legal obligations are handled under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Processing necessary for our legitimate interests is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Any consent can be withdrawn for the future.
Storage period and recipients
Unless a more specific period is stated, personal data is retained only until the purpose for processing no longer applies. Data may be kept longer where statutory retention obligations or another lawful basis require it. We disclose personal data only where necessary for a contract, required by law, supported by a legitimate interest or permitted by another legal basis. Service providers acting as processors are bound by data processing agreements.
Hosting and server logs
When you access this website, the hosting infrastructure may automatically record technical data in server log files. This can include browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname, time of the request and IP address. This data is not combined with other data sources.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the secure, technically reliable and optimised provision of this website. Log data is deleted when it is no longer required for these purposes, unless a longer statutory retention period applies.
Fonts and external links
This site uses Google Fonts supplied by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers to retrieve the required fonts. Google therefore receives the IP address used to access the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where consent is required, processing takes place only after consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.
Links to external websites, including EUR-Lex and gradar.com, take you to services operated by third parties. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your message and contact details to answer your enquiry and any follow-up questions. We do not disclose this data without a lawful basis.
Where your enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Otherwise, it is based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries effectively under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or on consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where requested. The data remains with us until you request deletion, withdraw consent or the purpose no longer applies, subject to statutory retention obligations.
Your rights
Within the limits of applicable law, you have the right to receive information about your personal data and its source, recipients and purpose. You may request rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time for future processing.
You may object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation. If data is processed for direct marketing, you may object at any time without giving reasons.
