A practical guide, not a sales brochure.
equal-pay.eu is a practical guide to equal pay for equal work or work of equal value – from what the EU Pay Transparency Directive requires to how to build a pay system you can explain.
Who publishes it
The site is published by QPM Quality Personnel Management GmbH, the company behind the job evaluation platform gradar. We have worked on job evaluation and pay structures for many years and wrote this guide for the people who have to put the Directive into practice: HR, compensation specialists and works councils.
Why it exists
Most material on the Directive stops at the legal text. The hard part comes afterwards: groups of equal work, reliable data, pay bands and progression rules you can explain. This site closes that gap with plain explanations, worked examples and free tools.
Editorial principles
- No client data. Every example uses synthetic figures and the reference band €56,000 / €70,000 / €84,000.
- Every legal statement names its article and links to the Directive on EUR-Lex.
- Statements about German law carry an "as of" date and a source.
- gradar appears only in clearly marked "How gradar helps" boxes and in the footer.
- This site is not legal advice. For decisions in your organisation, involve your legal counsel.
